Also it is advisable to bring a bottle of water and small sweat towel, otherwise, you are welcome to use filtered water and tissues provided. It is also advisable not to use any hand creams or body lotions (particularly oil based) on the day to prevent slipping.

Are Pole Fitness classes drop in classes or is it a course?

Pole Fitness Cork has a both a drop in option or a course. While progressing, you will be moved to the next level groups within the session you are attending according to your skill level in your own time.

How long is one class?

Our usual class is 60 minutes long, however, we have a warm up before the class. Therefore, it is highly recommended to be ready 10 minutes before the class starts.

Which class should I join? How do I know which group would be suitable for me?

We have only mixed level group classes, therefore, those are suitable for any level. However, we do work in groups according to the following guidelines.

<Beginner> If you have never done Pole Fitness or Pole Dance before or you have already had a few classes that would be the perfect option. During the class all moves and elements are carefully explained, focusing on correct technique from the first step. It is quite slowpaced and includes certain conditioning and stretching programme to prepare your body for more complicated movements.

<Intermediate> If you have already trained for a while and are familiar with Pole Dance technique, that could be right choice for you. This class includes more complicated elements, challenging conditioning program, as well as learning sequences and making up your own.

<Advanced> If you know most Pole Dance elements, although there is always something to work on, to make even more complicated combos and sequences, it is the right place to improve already known moves, learn new ones and gain more control and strength in your body.

What kind of poles are used for training?

We use one of the world leading brands poles - X-Poles. At the moment we have three X-Pert Chrome 40mm (spinning) and three X-Pert Chrome 45mm (spinning) poles.

Where can I find additional information about moves we learn?

You can find additional information on the moves here on the website, the Facebook page, Twitter or just simply browse YouTube. ;)

To track your progress we advise you to use My Pole Fitnes Diary that you can print yourself and bring it to every class or we will provide you with a printed copy on your request.

Is it alright to eat before the class?

You could have a small snack (couple of nuts or dried fruit, an apple or any other alike food) 15-30 minutes before the class. However, it is not recommended to have a meal later than 2 hours before the class.

I saw pictures of the current students on this website and the Facebook page. Am I going to be photographed as well?
